Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted directly to the outside company that provides that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Wise County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us or submit a contact message, we keep the communication as needed to answer it. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive basic technical and usage details when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Visited pages and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We and our analytics providers use them to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and where visits end. You may block cookies through browser controls, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a search to the selected partner
- Maintain availability, performance, and security
- Diagnose technical failures
- Measure which resources visitors use
- Present advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Wise County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It identifies official routes such as the Wise County District Clerk, County Clerk Court Department, municipal and justice clerks, county portals, and re:SearchTX. Access to qualifying Texas judicial records follows Texas Rule 12, while Government Code section 552.0035 explains that judiciary information is governed by court rules or other law rather than ordinary agency treatment under the Texas Public Information Act. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to them. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Wise County offices, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once you leave this website, the destination's terms and privacy policy apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on provider systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure site performance
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks that serve ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted information so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide additional rights depending on your residence and whether a law applies. You may ask to:
- Access personal information held about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion where the law permits
- Opt out of covered forms of processing
